Why Calorie Counting is a Hard Way to Lose Weight

Most people understand that calorie consumption has a direct impact on weight loss or weight gain, which is why it is common for people to turn to calorie counting in order to lose weight. The problem is that simply counting calories can be a difficult way to get rid of excess fat, because there are so many other factors that need to be considered in order to achieve rapid and safe weight loss.

With calorie counting, you don’t consider the nutrients that your body is receiving. For example, you could consume 100 calories of olive oil, and it won’t come close to filling your stomach because the calories are so dense. On the other hand, you can eat 100 calories of cucumbers and celery, and it will allow you to fill your stomach and increase the nutrients that your body is receiving. You need to make sure that you are feeling satisfied from the calories that you are consuming, so consider the types of calories that you are eating. It is also important to eat a variety of calories, to get balanced nutrition.
